2004 - Ron Zook Frat House President
Nobody partied harder at the University of Florida than Ron Zook did!

Ranked by ESPN as one of the top 10 greatest college t-shirts of all time, Ron Zook for Frat House President is still talked about today around the campus of the University of Florida.
As great as the front of the shirt was, the back became just as well known as the famous Animal House quote summed up the situation perfectly ... "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell No!"
Much like the shirt lampooning Bobby Knight, the Ron Zook shirt also had a premature death. A month or so after Zook’s frat house shenanigans were discovered, the University of Florida fired The Zooker. Though not highly regarded by Gator fans, Zook did have many accomplishments to go with his legendary frat house reputation.
In his final game after already being told he was going to be fired at the end of the season, he still managed to coach up the gator squad to defeat the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee, something Steve Spurrier never did. This victory occurred on the night FSU dedicated Bobby Bowden Field, leading Gator fans to refer to it as Ron Zook Field. Sadly for the Zooker, when it was uncovered that earlier in that year he had made a special visit over to a UF fraternity because some of his ball players had been in fights with some frat boys. Guys like Jim Rome were killing the Zooker on national radio; they couldn’t believe a coach of such a high level program could be such a moron. Reports were even that several of his players actually got the worst of the brawl; a black eye or two, etc. ... beat up by frat boys!? oh it only added to the great storyline.
Well the Zooker was not going to let any of his football player get beat up by a bunch of frat boys. Hell no! So the ball coach went over to the frat house to give them boys a yelling at for beating up on his players, a downright shouting match erupted and with that the material for RON ZOOK FOR FRAT HOUSE PRESIDENT was born. The shirt was selling like crazy in Gainesville as most Florida fans and students loved to hate the Zooker anyway, and loved the shirt. One of our retailers in Tallahassee brought it in and all of a suddenly Florida State fans are going nuts over it. Just as we were about to spread the news to customers throughout the southeast about the success of the shirt, the damn trustees and president of the University of Florida fire the ol’ Zooker!
And that is how one of the greatest college sports t-shirts of all time is born.
